We will bring Bollywood to the kids by teaching disadvantaged children in India the art of digital storytelling, with an emphasis on documentary techniques. This is a FREE 6 day camp for 10 children in each destination aged between 9 and 12. It will give each participant the opportunity to learn how to make a short documentary about their life, their families and sense of place in the world. We are seeking donations to help make this initiative a reality. All donations go toward video equipment and venue hire, travel expenses such as insurance, visas, flights and accommodation and lastly, healthy food for the children – all important components for a successful camp. We have already included some of our own funds but are not quite there yet.
Please help! It only takes 1 dollar to make a difference.
We are a group of former film school students from small cities and towns. We had to travel far and wide in order to learn filmmaking – and even then it was a costly experience. So we decided to do something that brings film education to isolated children, which we once were.
Our itinerary includes the following destinations for the middle of 2019:
These 10 destinations will hopefully lead to approximately 100 children learning the craft of filmmaking and create digital stories in remote and disadvantaged communities.
